Should I get a new computer?

Up untill Christmas, my computer was doing great with games and lag. Then I started playing TF:2, Borderlands, and DA:O, in all of which, my computer really lags. It's about 3 years old, and has about 70 gigs left(last week it was 40) out of it's 225. I hear mixed opinions on it. Dad says every seven years, but what I hear is 3-4. What do you guys think? Should I beg Dad for cash this year for my birthday, of just wait it out till next year?

Well, you could wait another year, though I'm not too sure. What are your computer specs?

I change my gaming PC about every 2-3 years depending on what I play .... it is doubtful I would do that if I was expecting others to pay for it though.

Eh, Dad bought the damn thing, so of course it's crap.

Well, Mom won't let me get a part-time job, and Dad is the "well-off" parent, so I feel no shame in frivelously spending his money.

You could always just upgrade the one you have. You might want to upgrade the graphics card, the CPU, and the RAM (in that order), as it might be cheaper to do that than buy a whole new system.
