is there multiplayer in vtm bl?

i read on a few sites that there was multiplayer or co op i cant seem to find it i just got the game and there are no multiplayer options please help and let me know if there isnt any multiplayer big fan of redemption and its multiplayer but no one goes on redemption any more

Sorry to disappoint you, but no, I'm afraid there isn't. There was a mod a while back, done by.. Exulx and Morfium, iirc, two german modders; however, they apparently faded out, leaving their project unfinished.
There may still be a version of it embedded in Wesp5's unofficial patch (at least there was, at some point), but I'm really not sure about that.

There was a mod...but i havent done my "update" to see more about that multiplayer stuff....and btw...you can still play redemption online ^^...theres a group called Kindred-Knights, and they play VTM:Redemption...heres the web-site if you want to take a look

I remember hearing that there was a mod or a patch that was in fact already done and people had actually got it working...I'm not sure, new to this.

There was a mod which consisted of some special config parameters only and I included this with the unofficial patch and even created special multiplayer clans that start with weapons and more. The thing is you can only play coop and on some maps the game crashes. Look into the latest unofficial patch for more details...

How can you enter in the multiplayer???i have your latest patch...wich btw Wesps great job...WESPS FTW...can you explain it a bit?

It's all console based and explained in the patch readme down a bit:
Multiplayer Support:
--------------------
Each multiplayer clan starts with 100 xp, $500 and unique equipment.
Players can't damage each other thus only coop gameplay is possible!
Server:
1. exec multiplayer.cfg - enable multiplayer support on the server
2. map 'level' - load server map, admin must only spectate!
3. noclip - server admin needs to stay in noclip mode!
4. sv_gravity "800" - after clients connected: turn gravity on
Client:
1. connect ip - connect to server at ip address as client
2. vclan 'mp-clan' - play as 'mp-clan' with starting equipment
3. say/say_team '...' - talk ingame to everyone/your team members
4. name 'player' - optional set name of yourself to 'player'
5. team 'team' - optional assign yourself into team 'team'
6. vgender int 0/1 - optional to switch the character's gender
