You can kill the Viciscamera without the poison.

I just killed it with my solo barbarian (1 int, no alchemy skill). The spear +4 she won at the battle squares destroyed it very fast, there was no damage reduction.
I guess you can overcome the damage reduction with +4 weapons (maybe even +3 is enough), it's also possible that you need piercing weapons.

You can squeeze out the last XP from past areas in order to make your alchemist level up. Did you kill the 4 iron golems in the monk tomb and the merchant in the area where you arrived with Oswald's airship ?
Did you finish the battle squares ? Did you find and defeat the abominable snowman ?

You can win a bow at the battle squares which grants random +4 to a stat when hit in melee, this int raise might boost your alchemy skills high enough.
Maybe you have also alchemy boosting equipment in your inventory.

But you can simply kill the thing directly without loosing anything. You can also gather some XP after killing it and return to the laboratory after levelling up if you insist on making potions or doing other unnecessary stuff there.

Or if you have a high lvl cleric use Animate Undead works wonders for roadblocks and other stuff, lvl 14 shuld be good. Create lots.
