Help with my sorc build

I'm making charged boltress, so as my main attack I have Charged bolt. But this doesn't seem to be cutting it and I'm only at jail level 2. I've made my secondary attack skill Inferno, but that requires being close to the monster. I've started putting points in lightning for synergy/long range, and in warmth as I think it's a really good skill.
Is there anything I might be missing, maybe tactics wise, without sacrificing Charged Bolt as my main skill?

The best advice here is to put points into the synergies of CHarged Bolt, including the mastery.

Unfortunately you have walked into a dead end. Inferno is a very weak skill, and charged bolt is somewhat weak. To spread you points between the two means that it will be extraordinarily difficult to finish the game on hell difficulty. Not all skills are viable choices, so its always best to check out what your future damage potential will be when planning a new character. It's also important to remember that most sorceress builds are quite weak level 24-30 or so, depending on you skill choice. A charged boltress should be an exception, but if you have put points in other skills as well I can understand why you have problems.

However, if you haven't spent too much points, you could continue on and possibly become a Meteor sorceress instead as Inferno is a synergy for it.
