I've been wondering... I have only 6 lvls left to reach 60... Such a long way behind me, I've loved playing it through... I'm afraid I will loose many goals at lvl 60. No more talents to long for, no more XP to gain... Is life at 60 the same as before?

P.S. Netherwind shines at the end of the tunnel, though

im no where near level 60 but they have to raise level cap in the expansion pack if you ask me they just have to like soon theres gunna be a level 60 tound every corner already is nearly

What to say, what to say?

Well, I've been lvl 60 for about 8 days (game time) and it's allright, it's pretty different from being low level (something I feel everytime I play my alt)
My game sessions are spent like this:
-log on (in ironforge)
-chat a bit
-check auction hous
-sell/repair
-ask my friends if they are going to any high end instances
-if yes, I join them
-if no, I go looking for another group, or I go farming gold/thorium

lvl 60 for me is basically improving my character, so that I becomes as useful as possible in MC runs and against onyxia, azeurgos, kazzak etc..

I am getting low on goals though, I got my epic mount now (after some very hard questing) so now I have left to get to 300 in blacksmithing, and ofc, get better equipment..

Or I play my alt, whom is lvl 37 atm....

But lvl 60 is great fun! You can do whatever you want, go where ever you like, explore, and generally waste time And as long as you have gotten good friends (like I have) then farming and instance runs are just fun

And I don't think they should raise the level cap, then they need to rework the talent system totally, and probably add some overpowered talents at the top of each talent tree. Also, they'd have to make new quests, instances, items, and zones. This, in my opinion, is not something that won't happen. And I also hope that it doesn't happen.

And concerning the "lvl 60 at each corner" remark: Well, what do you do when you have a lvl 70 at each, corner, or a lvl 80, or a lvl 100? You can't keep going like that, it's just ridiculous.

Blizzard will never raise the level cap, ever. If they did they would have to remake the entire gaming world to compensate and they don't want to waste money doing that. Insead they are going to introduce new goals to reach that do not consist of gaining levels. we have already seen examples of this with the honor system and the increasing need to get reputation points with different factions. In Zul'Gurub there will be a new faction to gain rep points with to get all the new great recepies. Even later on they will introduce hero classes which is supposed to be an extension to leveling but not quite the same. Speculations are flying all over the place about what a hero class will be but so far I don't think Blizzard has announced exactly what they mean by it. Maybe more information will be given at BlizzCon, where they will announce the expansion (released in fall 2006). This is just the tip of an iceberg with the things that Blizzard have done to keep players interested after hitting 60, there is also things like new itemization and new class epic quests that are luring at the horizon.

Life @ 60 is more or less exactly what I thought it would be...

You'll soon consider everyone below 58 as lowbies, and you -will- get jaded.
Once in a while I'll do an instance, but the only thing that can improve my eq now is epics from MC, and I always lose the rolls...

Now my goals are 300 enchanting (already 300 tailor, 249 enchant now! ), and to look as good as possible, fashion-wise.

Re-rolling is the natural thing to do, and having healed people thru 60 lvls with my troll priestess condoleeza, I rolled a damage dealer! Playing a mage is awesome, and I can deck her out in great gear with condo's amazing skills at tailoring.


IMO one of the best things about being 60 is that there is no more rush to lvl. I can do whatever I want, whether it'd be raiding with my guild, helping lowbies, goofing off in ally territory, or fishing for Yaarrrr! Also, knowing that I can kill any ally I see (in theory) is very nice...

I thought I would get bored easily because of no more exp, but you'll be amazed at how long you'll continue to have fun...

Level 60 and you:

High end instances. You can lose an entier night trying to put together groups for high end instances, and if you don't use the forums and plan ahead, you can sometimes miss out totaly. Strath, Sholo, MC, DWL, UBRS, LBRS, BRDS, the new Zul'whatever one, Sunken Temple... They are all good quality and great fun. The downside is, you might have to run them twice a day, every day for 3 months to get your end game gear from them... And even then it's not promised. In other words... You want your Blue or Purple class set? Then you've got PLENTY to do at level 60.

Epic pony cash... If your farming, fighting, or buying and selling on the AH, you got a LONG road ahead of you, and it needs to be paved with gold. This is a real collectors item this horse... It's fast, it looks awesome and it makes you feel good to rock up to a raid where everyones standing around on your massive, shiney mount. Maybe you don't care, but if you do, you got PLENTY of gold farming and raids and sales ahead of you at level 60.

End game quests... Trying to get Rend Blackhands head? Need your attunment to the Core? Your guild needs someone with the key to Sholomance? These things sound simple... Just a few quests and hey presto, but while your spending your 15th day killing level 61 Elite Dragons of different colours, it might pay to remember the times you were young, and killing a Worg was mighty fine work. If you want to be the guy with the attunment and the Onxiya key, you got plenty of killing to do at level 60.

Trinkets: Look in your auction house... See many trinkets? Not really... See the good ones? No chance! Know why? They are all quest items! And most of them are quest items from instances like Dire Maul. You want that little extra something that makes you speical? A shield that protects you for 500 dammage? Instant recovery from stun and fear? +2% chance of parry, +2% chance of block, +200 armor, +50 attack power... Time to get on your horse and go find those quest givers, rare drops and speical tomes, cos your going to be very busy at level 60.

Your in a guild? Are your professions at 300? God forbid one of them should be enchanting... But even if it's not, you are suddenly a bank of cool potions, neat armor and items, enchants, magical stuff and things the new guild members need... And they are prolly doing quests that need someone to help them.. Thats why people join guilds right? Well, if your part of a guild, you should never have a dull moment at level 60.

PvP? Go ahead, slip into your "Chat Options" bar and chose "World Defence"... Now find two level 60 friends and away you go. I promise you, that World Defence is NEVER quiet. Even if it is, theres WSG, AV... Capture some flags, or secure gold mines and castles with your friends. Get your rank up high because some of that PvP equipment is worth it's weight in gold... Heck, even just the "Grunt" status gives you a neat trinket that protects against stun... And let me tell you, against Rogues, Paladins, Warlocks and Druids it's invaluable. You want a good rank in PvP? Level 60 will never have a dull moment.

It's good fun!
