Say you have facets in your equips and on your merc, would they stack together when you met an enemy? for example say you have a total of -30% enemy resist on your euipe and -30% on your merc, could they stack to equal 60%?

No, they don't stack between characters, you would have -30 on yourself and your merc would have -30.
