My nephew bought one, and the graphics are pretty impressive.

Of course, I'm easily impressed! ;)

1. There are rules against using things like that to cover up swears. Sorry it just bothers me that only some people get in trouble for it.
2. What's the big deal about x-box? I personally don't really care about it, but really now?

Edit: To make Sleep's post edit complete :p

First I hate Windows because of their stability problems, Second Microsoft already earn so much money - not to mention their Windows interated Internet Browser - What now ? Try to invade Console and take over them -----

It's a great product. Period. So, MS, via their divergent marketing, found another market to invade. It's their first product, and blows away what the competition has spent years developing.

I'll stay away from the MS windows stablility comment. I've mostly had success in that department.

Companies fail when they become content with their revenue stream. It's aggresion or bankruptcy, take your pick.

*adjusts his Nintendo monitor while putting a burner into his Playstation CPU*

Meanwhile, Milton Bradley joins the competition with Monopoly speakers, but in the meantime, Tiger Electronics is manufacturing modems...

Sometimes, companines should stay in their own field :(

We bought my son an XBox for Christmas (it was the only thing he wanted) and he is enjoying it tremendously. I have a generally low opinion of console games, so I haven't played it much. I think that KidD01 may have gotten one of the XBox's that are defective and are being recalled.

My main observation about XBox is that there aren't a lot of games out there compared to its main competition, PS2 (which is conveniently backwards-compatible with all of the old PSX games). However, I think as software companies start to realise that there's a whole new product out there to re-tool their PC games for, familiar PC titles may begin to appear with XBox code.

As for the people who gripe and complain about Windows: If you don't like it, come up with something better. No one has (yet) and Microsoft's hegemony is unquestioned. My only gripe with Microsquish is that they engaged in illegal activities to get and maintain their supremecy, but how many other monopolistic companies have done the same? All of them would, given the opportunity.

Wel i've played x-box and ps2 at my friends house.
I love halo IIRC and Grand Theft Auto 3.

Grand Theft for PS2 is the best game ever!
Play that.

Sometimes you have to be happy with what you have, Bill probably isn't.
Instead of investing to improve Windows's stability and other probs he desides to build a console...

Which is when they end up on Sailor Moon Stupid online radio parodies... *snickers*

And he turned Naru-chan into Molly, the Brooklyn girl :(

Anyways, my opinion of Gates is very low, he's kinda obsessed with his company and thinks it should own anything electronic. I hope I don't have to someday shop at Electronics Bill-Tique.

Damn, dead or alive will only be released on the x-box!
I wanted that game but I think an x-box will be too expensive for me... :(

Also, MS pretty much ruined the potential Halo had by putting it out for x-box instead of pc...

It's plays just as smooth. I've done shooters on console (turok, golden eye, halo, perfect dark) and on the pc (doom, quake, counter strike, rainbow six). They both play swimmingly and I'm actually better at the genre on a console because that is where I learned. I'll give you how nice or rather, how quickly, one can aim with a mouse over a vid-stick. However, I've never gotten completely used to it and wind up overcompensating with my mouse. I just can't find the right mouse sensitivity to get comfortable with those pc FPS'ers.

Still, you can rent an xbox and halo for 20 bux for five days, I believe. If you are remotely intersted, you should try halo. There isn't a FPS'er like it. No, I am not trying to be Bill Gates xbox Poster Child. That guys ruins my life fifty hours a week at work.
