Which class?

There's a poll like this in the Diablo 2 forum, and it made me wonder: Which class is most enjoyable in Diablo 1?

There's a monk class?
If you're a hacker, or at least a duplicator like me, on battle.net sorceror is the best.

hacker, duper or purist - sorceror is the most powerful and for me, the faster I kill things the more fun I have. Especially when killing powerfull critters quickly. That includes all you god mode guys.
Mmm, Mmm God Mode Kill...and they said it wasn't possible!

Sorceror is real fun if you work real hard and get a legitimate one. I used to have a level 31 Sorceror with level 15 in all my spells except for a level 14 teleport, though I had an Arch-angels staff of Apocalyspe to offset that
Too bad I lost him to uninstall, I seem to remember Diablo would remove your characters if you uninstalled

about your staff. which spell is apocalypse?? i had a scroll with it once, but i never got enough magic to use it...
I to think sorceror is best.

It's the spell that Diablo uses himself, I tend to call it the Typewriter bomb because in certain areas you can just cast it next to a wall and everyone on the other side of the will explode like a line of chinese firecrackers.
The effect looks somewhat like a small nuclear bomb detonating on all the nearest enemies.

The good thing about this spell is it is an offensive spell that doesn't need a direct line of sight or clear areas to fire, which is always useful for pre-emptive killing. Unfortunately it is one of the spells you can't find a book of period and on a normal staff it only has about 9 charges.

With the correct argument in the Hellfire command .ini file, you can unlock the Bard (modeled on the Rogue, with an Identify skill and two-handed melee ability) and the Barbarian (modeled on the Warrior, with subtle hidden features enhancing his melee combat style).
So, there actually six possible character classes with Diablo:Hellfire.

I voted the rogue, because there were so many things that you could do with that character.

Wasn't bard just a rogue with identify as a skill?

no there are some differences. the bard can wield 2 weapons at once, and the stats are different.
