Taking screenshots

I would like to use some screenshots in a PowerPoint project.
It may sound stupid, but I have no idea how to take them.
So now, you can laugh at me all you want, but while you do it, please tell me how I can take a screenshot.

I'm not entirely sure if this answers what you need, but I've always taken screenshots by simultaneously holding down the "Shift" and "Print Screen" keys. The "Print Screen" key is located (on my keyboard) to the far right on the very top row of keys (third from the end), just above the "Insert" key.
You need to press "Shift" at the same time because the key is shared with "Sys Rq."
Hope that helps

Thanks for answering DW!
I already tried that. If it works, then I have no idea where the images are stored. I can't find them.

After taking the shot, bring up a program like Paint. In the top left corner there'll be a row of options, hit "Edit" and then "Paste"
note: You should be able to Find Paint by going:
Start> Accessories>Paint

You're welcome!
Now that I think about it, when I first began taking screenshots, that was the part that mystified me as well
I should have remembered that when I first answered your question, lol!
