Jumping out of a plane

I went skydiving again this week-end. OMG, what a f*cking rush it is! Falling 9,000 feet in 60 seconds, then coasting the rest of the way and hitting a ten-foot diameter circle from a total of two miles up. I'm still vibrating from the adrenaline rush. Any jumpers out there?

I hear that leedogg, it's not a cheap hobby. I highly recommend that you do it at least once if you have the slightest desire to, it is absolutely amazing, believe me. You can usually do it for US$120 - US$145, and worth every cent.

Yep. My cousin does base jumping and of course took me on a little adventure (not base jumping... just normal sky diving). *whoooosh... no stomach* :D

WK, there is nothing better than that. I thought bungee jumping was a rush. No way. How far did you drop until you pulled the cord?

Only four time. I'm getting my license at the moment, need five more jumps and I'll be certified :D

You?

I'm certified, 50 jumps. I wanted to join the parajumpers to fight forest fires. But, then I got married. So I jump about two or three times a year. Once you start, you can't stop. :D

Man, good for you. You're right about not being able to stop. As soon as I jumped the first time, I couldn't wait for the next. BTW, how are you feeling?

Good to hear it, though if you don't watch your mouth, GB's going to hold you down while I pummel your sides with a stiff puffin corpse...

Witch King & Darkpoet, I totally agree with you there are few better adrenalin rushes than freefalling.

I took a licence some 7-8 years ago, but this was abroad and the licence wasn't valid in Sweden, so I never converted it, since it's both very expensive to parachute here. If I had more time and money,I'd certainly take it up again :)

@DP: nice to hear you are doign good :)
