I've been looking for hours for this information, sorry if it sounds quite stupid:

how do you see yourself in 3rd person view?

I know you can play in 3rd person with the default z key, but how can you see your own face?

Use the number pad to look around. I think 8 is the right one, not sure, though, 100%. But try it.
