Time limit in MotB?

Post by Jfrickey21 »

In MotB is there a time limit to complete any of the quests, events, etc?

Or, can you rest as many times as you'd like? I have found camping (w/ Safiya, Gann, Kaelyn) in the Shadow Plane in Act I, before going out to face Okku and the army, will net a lot of exp and essences from random encounters and will be very handy to have an extra level or two along with more essence enchanting options...

No time limits, only the limitation of spirit feeding for the rest of the game beyond act 1.

Early on in MOTB, random spawns will allow you to advance in level to some extent, but latter in the game random spawns just don't account for much experience to do any real "leveling". (..note however that soul gems can be farmed this way.) Most of your major experience is obtained via questing.

There is one *possible* significant exception - SPOILER (highlight to read):
Spoiler
In the forest of the Woodman, the later battle with the forest tree (centralized on that "map"), spawns an infinite supply of treents and shambling mounds, etc.. that are only deactivated by attacking nodes around the tree. Of course if you don't take down all the nodes then you can farm the spawns. This really depends on the strength of your character and your party's ability to heal that character - stocking up on heal potions is a good idea before this fight, and regen. equipment for your character is also quite desirable. Its also best to keep your other party members out of the fight, or at least out of the fight once you have all but one or two nodes taken down.

Thanks, sounds like I'll get some exp and essences while the livin' is easy, then head on when I get bored.
