SoZ (spoiler) Neverwinter Trading Post??

I tried from save game point 3 tries (sic?)

How do you establish a trading post? What needs to happen? At NW.

I saved the orphans and also got a pass by joining the circle of friends. Finally I cleared Finch's name and got him a pass to play.

But at that point Nevalle dialogue is over. I assume its a later quest I need to trigger that trading post.

I carefully (see first line...believe me I checked that dialogue) checked dialogue each time to see if there is anything about trading post. Because the thievesguild site says there is a problem with missing the dialogue and it not coming up again.

Thank you.

I'm not sure.. BUT I think that I had to fix Port Llast's problems (and start a merchant point there) before I could trade with NW.

Scott do you recall any special thing about that trading post that I would miss if my game is bugged?

I've kind of been delaying play waiting for this forum and bioware forum posts on my question.

The thing I am wondering is if Jacoby starts selling something that is very cool once NW tradepost occurs??

I don't think its a "trigger" for anything.

Jacob is largely "tied" to your guild faction (in NW) and it's quests. Special items depend on the guild, and how far you progress with the quests for that guild.

From what I remember the only thing that NW as a trading post gives you is just a trading post between several different towns (..that by result increases your gold). I don't even think it offers any special ore.

Hmmm.. Jacoby is also tied to wear you have trading posts. For example when you open a post with highcliff he says "trading with the wizards of high cliff I got some new goods" then there is Robes of the Neutral Archmagi and a staff +3 more scrolls etc. Trading with Leilon (post) I believe an adamantium tower shield was soon for sale??

I guess I shouldn't stress too much about it if its just going to ruin my game. Its not a game breaking bug after all.

I'd forgotten about that stuff (..don't remember if NW offered anything additional - it was after all the last post I opened). I don't think I considered any of it that special. :p

Yeah, it's really not something to "sweat" over, and in time the NW post should open-up.

Now getting the Port Llast girl back into sales.. THAT might be worth pursing (depending on your characters).

Most of the other good stuff is "placed" or sold through Jacoby via the guilds (..and its limited depending on what guild you pursue).

West Harbor has some nice *basic* stuff for enchanting once you solve there prob.s.

Further - 95% of your stuff will probably be crafted (wondrous items) and/or enchanted by you.

There was *one* particular skill located chest near the Banite compound in the NE of the Sword Coast on the OM. (Don't remember what triggered it.) It had AA chain and some arrows etc.. That could also be useful.
