I was playing with my zaur character and got really far on dungeon lords CE and made it to the demon temple or dreadoth (I think). I was fighting and noticed that my heavy weapons animations changed to light weapons animations, my spear and staffs did the same. The character uses them like light weapons rather then normal spear animations. I don't use spears with this character but i just wanted to know why it was doing this, it may become a problem with my other characters .

Does this have to do with stats maybe? The character has 8 points in Light Weapons,Medium Weapons,Heavy Weapons and light duel wield. The character also has 64 strength. I checked my equipment like armor,trinkets and rings to see if that was causing this but they where not.

I know there are certain magic weapons that I can use with Light Duel Weapons (with any character), but I have never been able to use a Heavy Weapon alone that acts like a Light or Medium Weapon.

I'm playing a Zaur right now. Maybe I'll try that when I get heavy weapon capability

My character has always been a Zaur, and though i have only recently been able to use heavy weapons, that hasn't happened to me. It could be a glitch on your computer or something... and besides, i kinda don't like the heavy weapon's attack because you spin like a ballerina...
