What animal would you like to be?

If you would be another species that homo sapiens sapiens for, let's say 1 year, what would you like to be and why?
I'd like to be a Wandering albatross since I love flying. Also, the idea of riding the winds
alone for 1 year, is quite appealing

I think I'll become a wolf, kinda suitable for my trait....a Lone Wolf

A hawk, perhaps? Or if we're allowed to be mythical animals, then a phoenix.

I think I might like to be a dog. Or maybe a Mountain Lion. But the hawk idea is good, too.

Cat. Lie in the sun all day. No work. No worries. Sleep as much as I want. Eat. Stare lazily out the window. Act cute, get petted. What more could one ask?

I think I'd have to concur with Loner. A pampered house cat has the sort of life that most people get to only dream about. As I write, one of mine is gently snoring in one arm. trying to type while holding a ten pound cat is a bit of a challenge. Does nayone else ever feel guilty about dumping a cat from the lap? See, they've got it made, the little fur balls even manipulate us.

@DW you shouldn't feel guilty about it, that's just what the furball wants
Make that three, I wouldn't mind being a cat. As long as I retained my ability to cross roads safely...

Being a domesticated animal depends on the kindness of the owner. For example, I would probably like to be a dog owned by any of the fine ladies on this forum. Just imagine having my belly scratched all day, with my rear leg kicking in delight! But I wouldn't want to be owned by Waverly. Nor Gruntboy, I think.

I'd be a rooster with a whole bunch of chickens in my coop
Just think, you'd be a hit with all the chicks, annoy the hell out of the humans with a morning crow call and be able to strut around the place all day like you owned it!
Two others that come close would be A black eagle living in the rocky outcrops, or a black panther living in a remote bushland.
As to loner and dragon wench being cats... well, I'm reminded of an old saying:
Big cats can be dangerous, but a little p*ssy never hurt anyone

Maybe they are too, but the real "animal lover" here is Foul/Witch king.
Hm, several people seems to like to be hawks, why is that?
