This is going to sound really stupid but I started NWN2 for the 2nd time. I only got a few hours of play when I realized needed a new computer. So any way in the interim, I can't figure out how to bash in locked things like doors and chests. :confused: :(

Rightclick and select bash.
This works particularly well with elemental damage on your weapons.

It's always better to unlock through spells or lockpicking though.
Sage plays a paladin,
because other classes would be frowned upon for laying their hands on a wounded companion
