Today I just found out that my school had educated one of the terrorists in the bombings, they had found a newsclipping with him and our school on it. What a scary situation.

You have a good point Fable but what scared me is the proximity, will anybody I know do something similar? It just made me feel a little weird is all...Originally posted by fable:
Why? No doubt the person in question wasn't a terrorist while they were at your school. And keep in mind that there isn't a very strong barrier between a dedicated, well-intentioned, zealous person, committed to a cause, and a dedicated, zealous person who is frustrated enough about the failure of their cause to demonize all those who don't accept its truth. The intensity and focus required to take action, any sort of action, is the same. So is the black-and-white stereotyping, which gives strength to focus. It's all a matter of balance.
Fable how do you not know this person wasn't a terrorist at this time. If anything we have learned is that these people are very dedicated on there beliefs. And that barrier I hope it would be bigger. For me it is and I am sure lots of others out there too. That is a big line to cross that you mention in the case of these attacks.Originally posted by fable:
