Today, the Nobel prize laureates in medicine or physiology was annouced. What do you think of the choice?

What do you mean "what do I think of the choice?" How about, Did you know that a nobel prize was given out.

Sorry Since it's in the international press, I sort of imagined people to know it had happened. But there are of course so many more acute news at the moment.

The Nobel prize in medicine went to 3 cell cycle researchers. Check this link for a short layman description:

Tomorrow, the laureates for Physics will be announced, Wednesday for Chemistry.

Well, you see, in most places in the world, we use a sort of bartering system. Only, instead of bartering weapons and foods, we use a thing called currency. Now, this currency takes form in many different ways. For instance, there is American/Canadian dollars, the "Euro", Rupels and even Yen. We use this "currency" to exchange goods and services around the world. We can use it to "purchase" foods and other items, or even to "Buy" our way through school or competitions. In many countires, this "currency" is a much sought after commodity, and can cause people to commit "crimes".

Is that good enough CE?

@Aegis: Geez...interesting information You see, I'm stuck here in Jukkasjärvii, and not having been elsewhere in all my life, I only know of our local bartering system where we trade reindeer testicles

(aside: total misunderstanding, Aegis - I thought a Twenty was something referring to marks or education... )
