Annoying Problem

Hello,
When the game asked for character name, after entering a letter, a whole string of 7 would appear as though I've typed them in. I tried to delete them, but it wouldn't let me. In addition, during gameplay the mouse cursor always slided to the top left corner of the screen and stayed there. I couldn't move it back onto the party.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times, but the problem kept appearing. My computer and keyboard work fine. Please help, thanks.
