Enable Time Stop in Single Player!

Hello!

Everyone knows Time Stop is definitely overpowered in Multiplayer combat. But the feel we get when playing Baldur's Gate 2 - dealing with magic... isn't it worth using it again in NWN2?

In a world filled with magic, such spells should be expected. At the very least, in the single player campaign.

My point is that everywhere, in every game, the spells are all similar to each other: Protect, destroy, or summon. Every time. Time Stop, though, is a very original spell, a classic D&D spell everyone gets to know when flipping through the pages of any player's handbook. Or the Baldur's Gate books. Or the first neverwinter nights. It's like realizing that you, too, can do awesome things! :D

So, it should be enabled at least in Single Player where, in my opinion, nobody would find it that annoying. And seriously, if you buy a game filled with magic and can't accept the fact that some mage can stop the time, go play sword & shield elsewhere, because this is D&D, not the Dark Age!

My thoughts on the matter though, and my 2 cents.

Discuss!

P.S. Just as this thread is being created they are working on another expansion. That would be the time to add it! :)

Hmmm... I remember missing the good old Time Stop in nwn2. Shouldn't be a problem having it on multiplayer either. I remember when I played nwn1 online, the DM of that particular server had scriptet Time Stop to only function in the area the caster were in, so it didn't stop the rest of the server.

Of course, Time Stop on Arena servers is pointless. First one to cast wins the battle. :p

The spell belongs to the old D&D classics, it cannot be removed simply because it is overpowered in multiplayer.

At least, it shouldn't be.

Time Stop IS a bit over powered, and would need some cut-backs(i.e. Shortened Duration, restricted casting, fatigue, etc) but It would be very cool to have.

Don't forget that my intent is to restrict it. Single player only.

Let NPCs have it, too, so it can balance it out a little bit.
