Replaying Fallout 2, suggestion for mods/patches?

Hello,

I'm going to replay Fallout 2. I'm wondering, however, which patches/mods I should install.
Latest official + kids is a nobrainer.
But then... Unofficial killap patch? Restoration project? Any good weapon mods you know of? Didn't the restoration project change the way ammo & armour work?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

IIRC Restoration Pack doesn't change weapons or armor, not much at least. And it contains Killap's Fixpack as well, so I really suggest it.

But besides RP and necessary patches? Not much worth of installation. I think that's what Fallout 2 has been lagging quite much: good mods.

Thanks. Does the RP also contain the missing children patch?

Yes, the unofficial patch contains missing children fix, and about restoration project changing how ammo works; it fixes how armor piercing bullets work I think.
You can check No Mutants Allowed for mods I guess.

So basicly, AP ammo is more useful against Armour? :p
Good to know about the children fix. Such an annoyance.
Thanks!

The Restoration mod is good. That is the only mod I really tried besides some of the cheats.
