PSP owners, need your suggestions.

I'm not sure, if this is the right place to put this thread into, but I hope I'm not wrong.
I played my PSP yesterday in the morning while en route to my work. All was ok as usually is. Next time I tried to turn it on - it didn't. It was in the evening, 9 hours later, so my first thought was that I forgot to turn it off and the battery was dead. However, when I came home and plugged in AC adapter (sorry, don't know how to tell this sort of thing correctly) and turned PSP on I discovered that battery was fully charged. I tried to use it without adapter - it worked as normally.
Any suggestions? I am a bit worried, because I pretty much need the source of gaming while I'm on the go and it would be a really bad thing if my PSP stopped working properly.
Thanks in advance, sorry if I shouldn't have created this thread here
