I notice merchants will refuse to buy things from stores you steal, and not just the ones you stole them from. I can see why they would put this in, to prevent you from making easy money, but is there any evil merchant in the game who doesn't care and WILL buy your stolen goods?

If not, I'll just to have to make sure Annah steals only things I want my party to use, blood and heart charms are very useful. And, how does her pick pockets skill factor into it, as I learned that a 100% pick pockets (or even greater than that) doesn't make you the perfect thief and you still can get caught. Though this isn't a problem, simply load a game before you got caught and try again.

Stealing and reloading when caught is very time consuming. You're much better off boosting CHA to 20 (or higher) and buying and selling from the disgruntled couple in the southern part of the Lower Ward. With a CHA of 20, you actually make more money buying and selling crap. You can get an infinite amount of cash this way, so you can just buy all those charms you'd like.

Of course, this is an extremely cheesy way of doing things, so use at your own risk!

As Klorox notes, none of the merchants will touch stolen goods. But if you have the Modron Cube, you can pick up some fine lucre after battle worth hundreds or thousands of coins: some of the lens, rods of modron might, and a couple of spell casting artifacts, such as mirrors of imaging. Better still, the device that will return you to your standard reality out of the Cube is worth 4000 coins, and like all other objects found there, pops up numerous times. They're randomly generated, but you still should get plenty of cash from selling the stuff and have enough to buy everything you should ever want in the game.

What risk are you talking about? It doesn't sound dangerous from what you're telling me, I just buy something, then sell it back at a higher price. And, please tell me that friends spells are cumulative, otherwise I don't know how else I'll get it above 20. It's only 11 right now.

The risk is that having unlimited money might spoil the challenge and the fun. Friends spells are cumulative.

I can't find this couple in the lower ward you are talking about, the farthest thing South is Glitspur's auction block (or perhaps the coffin maker) did you mean the clerk's ward maybe?

In the next release of my Fixpack, coming out hopefully this weekend, the infinite money exploits will be removed. No stores will sell an item for more than they bought it for. Sorry, gang. (As pointed out, with the cash cow that is the modron maze, it's not really necessary anyway).

I didn't know the Friends spell was cumulative. Bleah. That makes my Maximized Friends spell tweak kinda overkill. Really it probably -shouldn't- be cumulative... I'm pretty sure the strength spell isn't. Will have to take a look there too.

TheSnare, Brocah and Miccah's shop is a building along the south side of the Lower Ward, toward the west side. What makes it tricky to find is that the door is on the SOUTH side.

Part of me is glad it won't work, but he said it would. And it doesn't require any mods, so perhaps he's just wrong?

I just just checked and this DOES work, you can sell the stuff back for more than you bffought it, however, my charisma is 25, and you don't get much for reselling it, only 10 more coins


Edit: Actually, it depends how much the item you buy costs, the more expensive it is the more you;ll be able to sell it back for, which will always be more than what you bought it for. I hope I get something real expensive. Selling the shards of fate back is decent but not real good. 40 coin gain for each time you resell it.

The Hammer of Communation is REAL good for this, get it from the curiousity shop it fetches 960 coins, with a 25 charisma
