Don't use the ":-(" sign! It's illegal!

I found out this in an newspaper article.
"For the use of ':-(' you will have to deal with the site Despair.com , which insists that that the sign ':-(' is its trade-mark. Anyone who uses it will be hunted by the law for breaking its trade-mark. Despair.com sais that it has a patent N 5,443,036 for using the sign. 7 million privet users have been put on trial."
I just thought it was funny and is worth a re-post.
P.S. IMO the word "yesterday" should also be banned because it is a trade-mark of the Beatles (you know that Beatles song right?)

When I think about it I came to the conclusion that this topic should be: Locked, banned, delited and everything else that can be done to it. This is the topic with the most iliegal stuff I have seen so far (not with the most, but with the most pointed out ones). I'm wandering why this topic isn't closed yet...
