Hi, lets talk about leveling. Is there a max lvl? Ive added up that if I lvl my attributes as slowly as possible I will be almost lvl 200. This means going to jail repeatly to decrease my majoy skills to relevel. Has anyone ever tried this?

I can assure you that there is no max level in this game.
I have tried this jail method (and bumping it)

Tips: always use the trainers' service to quicken the process of the latter five

There is a max lvl. Its determined by whenever your attribute(str, int, will, etc) all reach 100. But Im wondering if you place one point on your attributes at a time will your lvl go up till you get all 100s. Or if there is a set cut off lvl leaving you with whatever your stats are at that lvl.

Alot of you may be thinking why get your lvl that high? Well, I was reading in some of the leveling guides that the higher your level is the better looting you get from monsters. And the tougher the monsters will be to kill. Ive seen for myself the difficulty part is true. Anyway, if the monsters and area give better items for your lvl then depending on the items you might be at your strongest through reaching the highest lvl you can get. I dont know yet Im still testing this. I was only wondering if anyone has done this already.

The levelling loot doesn't work like that. You will get to a certain level probably between 40 and 60 and the games sticks. The enemies don't get harder and the loot can't get any better. I'm pretty sure about the loot anyway. The monster levelling may be a bit different to what I work with in Morrowind though.

There's no normal level limit; you can increase your skills to 100-->do a great crime-->go to jail-->your skills decreased by a certain amount-->max those lowered skills again-->repeat.
However, you need to trick the leveling system and attributes points distribution to get the highest level possible.

The enemies are following you, if you're lv 150 (like me), then they'll be on that level (leveled enemies only, and sometimes a bit lower/higher for quest enemies).
The loot works exactly like what Magelord648 said.

I tested this in an unmodded game, so it will work for you, wherever you're playing the game on

I must confess to being baffled by the desire to maximise a character's level, I've never had a character go much over fifty, 53 is the highest, and I'd done everything there was to do in the game, including several large mods and the official mods, and was completely unkillable, and bored stiff!

To go much higher than 50, let alone 70 must be mind numbingly tedious, I would have thought the game had become more like a onerous chore than a relaxing game by level 60.

You get all the best gear dropping well before level 35, and no improvements after; no matter what level the monsters are by then they stand no chance, so what on earth is the point?

Not only would it be a pain lvling that high, but wouldn't the game really just be playing itself after lvl 70? I mean it kinda beats the purpose of playing since all the items usually cap off somewhere around 50.

And imo, it's hard enough as it is leveling to 50 on xbox alone. The highest I'd probably be willing to go would be 45ish.. if I got 'that bored' and there happened to be anything left to do.

Well, you haven't try Disgaea!
It has level cap, but that's 9999
And even when you're at 9999 Baal will still kill you,
you must reincarnate (back to lv 1 again) to get better stat growth, and advance to at least lv 2000, reincarnate again-->repeat.
And you must do that countless times
And don't forget to max your equipment!
And I do it, max reincarnation points, max equipment stats, and else

So, leveling in Oblivion is less tedious than in Disgaea.

If all your stats (STR, INT, WIS, not Marksman) are at 100, but your skills (Marksman, not STR) are still at 60, what happens when you level up? do you just not put any things into your stats (they stay the same) ,while still gaining HP?
