i am very sorry to report that the love of my life(my truck) has met an unfortunate demise.

it seems that as we were in route to work yesterday, a young man run a stop sign, and met my chevy with devistating results.

luckily, anyone who rides in my truck wears a seatbelt, or most likely you all would've lost your favorite spammer(me) and my passenger. we recieved only minor injuries, but the kid wasn't so lucky(he is lucky to be alive). we hit him right in the driver side door @ 45-55 MPH(i am still shaking as i write this), cause the vehicle to roll over as i was doing as i could to stop. he recieved a nasty cut across his eyebrow that took a massive amount of stitches. i am glad to say that he is going to be OK(dispite a nasty scar). this is close to the most truamatizing thing i have ever experianced, and wish it upon no one. i won't be posting as much for a little while(kinda hard to type with my wrist hurting). i am glad we all survived, but my truck was dealt a nasty hand. most of you who know me, know what that truck meant. it was in the pecking order of things dear to me(son-wife-truck-weasel-etc...). i feel as if i lost a dear friend yesterday at 2:45.
I have a new apprieciation for life, as i almost took anothers(they found it not my fault, but it still scared the hell out of me), and i will take a lesson from this.
thanks for reading, i hope you all have a safe day.- leedogg

@Leedogg, thank goodness you're alright! Now get away from the computer, and lie down for a bit. And try to find somebody who can sit with you, just listen, and offer comfort. Online, we can only do so much. You need human warmth, my friend.

Yikes! I'm so glad that you are okay, and I hope the other driver has a speedy recovery. Take Fable's advise.

Glad everyone is going to be OK, Lee. Loss of the truck is sad, but unlike people, you can eventually replace it.
Get a copy of that accident report ASAP, and don't let the police talk you out of it.

thanks for your concern. i'v been sleeping most of the day(too sore for work

) i didn't mean to sound sooo depressed. my dad thinks we cand possibly fix my truck(he's fixed worse, he says

) i'm at work so i have these two arses to talk to(one was with me in the crash, the other is tired of hearing 'bout it

) i heard that they let the kid go home today, so i'm happy he's gonna be alright.
i just thought you all would like to know what happened(and get hugs and kisses from the ladies

) i will tell you guys this- a seatbelt will whip your arse(actually chest) in an accident, but no doubt it saved two lives.
waverly-my wife had to fill out my SR-32 and send off for the accident report. it should go in the mail tommorow.

I'm glad to hear you're all right Lee
*Big hug and kiss* (Don't you think getting in an accident just to get hugs from all of us is going a bit far?

) J/K

lee, I know how U feel anyway. 2 yrs ago my jeep were turned upside down kinda doing acrobatic stunt because of a crazy driver try to pass me when I still have my driving ability. Ever since that bad episode of my driving experience I kinda have a trauma which make me can't drive proprely

I've been trying to overcome that trauma but haven't succeed though. That's why I prefer to travel by my trusty bike nowadays.
Glad you're OK anyway

Hi Lee.
Glad your okay (I wouldn't wanna lose our favorite spammer ..... who is that anyway

), I still remember the crashes I've had (car vs. car -crash and bike vs. car-crash (still have scars in my head after this one (3 years ago), and don't think they'll ever go away).
Just relaxe and let things flow through your mind
take care Lee.

I would give you hugs and kisses, too but i don't know if that is appropriate...
I often wondered if we would loose a member of GB through some kind of accident you almost made my predilictions come true
Get well soon.....

@leedogg-I'm sorry to hear about what happened, buddy

.I know how precious your truck is to you,but the important thing here is that you're safe

.A truck can be repaired/replaced easily, but the same could not be said about a person's life
I hope you get well soon
