I am watching the movie again and as I watched it I wondered is he a hobbit or a dwarf or is there nothing that special about him. Does anyone know, he seems remarkably similar to a hobbit's characteristics.

I assume you're talking about Willow Ufgood(sp?). He's a Nelwyn(sp?).
