I was thinking this might be a very interesting and fun challenge. I know there are a lot of parts in this game where you need at least one NPC with you, and those parts are obviously unavoidable.

So, who's tried it? Please let us know how it was!

Did it once, well as far as it was possible, which of course is not very much. It was easy, not quite as easy as with a party naturally, but never raised a sweat that I can remember. Had I been able to play the whole game solo it would have been a decent challenge on one hand. Although the game would have ended on the Leviathan without Bastilla coming to Malak's aid.

Well, there are parts that can not be done solo, the Leviathan being one of them.

I'm talking about playing the whole game with leaving everybody in the base or in the Ebon Hawk whenever possible.

I realised that and that is what I was talking about.

The toughest parts are right at the beginning, as one would expect, and dealing with the Mandaloreans on Dantooine. Tatooine has it's moments, some of the Sand people encounters are tough initially, but once you get 'over the hump' it's pretty easy. To be honest I didn't take on the Manadloreans initially, I went back at the last possible moment to take them on.

The final encounter in the Genoharadan quest is a handful playing solo too. But apart from those exceptions, which you don't have to do of coourse, it was, as I said pretty easy. Solo run throughs often are, as in BG2.
