fallout 1 ending problem

while waiting for fallout 3 to come out i decided to replay the fallout collection. I have now played through fallout 1 and I encountered a problem at the very end. This time round i convinced the master that his 'masterplan' was a failure (usually I nuke the bastard). I get out of the cathedral ok so no worries. But then i got to the screens where i normally should hear about the places i visited and how they changed because of it. The problem there was that the pictures came really fast and there was no sound. Only when the game reached the picture about the brotherhood of steel was there a little sound. (like half a sentence). Has anybody ever encountered this before and is there any way to solve it in the future?

What kind of computer are you using? Also, have you had any problems with any other videos in the game?

This is a well-known problem with newer computers. Here's the fix:
Go to start menu -> run.
Type dxdiag
Go to the Sound Tab
Slide down the direct sound acceleration. It is recommended you turn it down all the way.
It is possible this will slow down other parts or Fallout or even other applications. Normally the direct sound acceleration is set to 100%, so it is recommended you turn it off only for the Fallout end cinematics and then turn it back on.
