stuck on mainquest(spoiler?)

im on the quest "Paradise" and i have made it to the end where im supposed to meet mankar but when i get to the carac agaialor i found his children and folowed them inside but mankar is not in there.. im using xbox 360 version.
please help.

Did you attack him when he's preaching to the Mythic Dawn agent?
Or did you prevent him to enter the portal to Paradise (in Dagon Shrine quest)?

I'm not sure you can prevent him from going into the portal, if so you gotta fix it somehow. load a save? maybe? I'm not that helpful when it comes to stuff screwing up.

Yes I can, the simplest way is to/simply paralyze him (maybe reverse pickpocket is better-but haven't tried that)
Don't save after trying that!

yeah im almost positive he went in the portal, i dont know what to do..

Can you check again near Dagon's shrine/statue?

Oh, I never really thought paralysis, Although it's my favorite effect. . Oh and buddy, make sure you save that argonian, Or else he'll get crushed by mehrunes big giant statue

ok i went all the way back to the dagon shrine and no, hes not there either is there someway i can cheat and get the amulet of kings?

well wait i actually found him. hes in the cloud ruler temple great hall, where martin has the portal, hes just standing there i cant interact or attack him at all

.... Then there's no hope sadly. Unless you have a save way before this all began. Talk to martin, and make sure you have the Mystic Xavartavies or however you spell it, its the book that was right in front of mankar cameron before he entered the portal, then go talk to martin. It might help.

I remember seeing a thread like this, and there, Mankar has been found in Cloud Ruler Temple.

machoman24 must have had the Mysterium Xarxes, the main quest can't advance without it, but can get screwed up if you get it too early.

On one occasion I went there with Martin straight from Kvatch, forced entry (using he console) and picked up the book. The main quest was completely shot, so had to revert to an earlier save. My own fault, I had expected something would go wrong if I took a shortcut though, so had a save prepared before leaving Kvatch. As a certain Hobbit once said (or something close), 'Shortcuts lead to the longest journeys'.

But can get screwed up if you get it too early

If you use the console, as I mentioned. I was actually experimenting to see what I could get away with by cheating, the things one does when bored!

Yeah since my oblivion disc is messed up anyway I'm trying ways to make it worse for my own amusement

whats the so called "real" console? 'cause I would REALLY like to fix my oblivion disc.

Oh, it's not an uber console command (if that's what you think)
It is a PS, XBOX, etc
