Hi - just installed BD right out of the box - says it is v1.45 so didn't bother with the patch.

I cannot pick up the barrel of coal. Nor can I pick up a small mana from another barrel. Am i doing something wrong? Or do I need the patch?

Open your inventory, and drag the barrel in your inventory. For some reason, you need to do this if you want to pick up large objects.
