are there any good spears that you can find in the game? all ive seen is the plus one, but then again im only in chapter 3

There is one REALLY good spear, so good it's worth a character with proficiency in spear. You won't find it early on, though. But some pretty good spears are around early. If you want to be spoiled:

In the Druids Grove near Trademeet, belonging to Trademeet quest, is the spear on the Unicorn. Only +2, but with immunity against charm and hold. Very handy considering what monsters you meet later on.

In Sahuagin City you will get Spear of Piercing, +3, +10 piercing damage. One of the best weapons in the game

You can also get two +3 spears in the Guarded Compound in the Temple District. Available right away and you get the Celestial Fury and other goody thrown in for good measure.

idea: there should be a +6 spear in the game called "Britney". (maybe only funny to the german-speaking ones)

The Britney Spear: Spear +6

This spear has been cursed by many a valiant warrior who thought it would aid him greatly in battle. While it is a spear of potent enchantment, the spear is semi-sentient and has the unfortunate tendency to sing in a high-pitched, nasal tone during battle, distracting the wielder almost to the point of insanity.

STATISTICS

Equipped Abilities: Cursed, +2 to all saving throws, -2 to dexterity. 15% chance per successful hit of casting Wail of the Banshee on wielder.
THACO: +6
Damage: 1d8 +6

The Halcyon is only a +1 spear with 1 extra piont of electrical damage IIRC.
THE best spear in the game is the Spear of Withering found on one of the Drow merchents in the underdark. Its +4 and it adds and extra 3 points of poison damage me thinks.

there are a couple spears +3 in the bridge district, in the big mansion building whatever in the center...
I don't know sabertooth, i liked the impaler +3, it had a ton of extra damage....

There is a +10 spear in chap 4....

The Impaler Spear +3, +10 piercing damage

Nightmares isn't a new spell, it's in the spell list on 3e DnD (and not very good either).

gimmie sprears not britney though can u guys tell me of an +2 or better spears or any if have enchanments(I.E imun to charm

I remember they posted at IGN that there will actually will be a spear +6 in ToB. I can't imagine anyone being immune to that.
And by the way, can you hit Kangaxx with the spear of peircing? It does have +10 damage.
