Craziest Fight You've Ever Had In BGII

Aight, just to make things interesting I thought I'd make a thread about the craziest fight you've ever been in. It could be in any mod, on Baldur's Gate 2.
Mine is personally the one time I had to fight a demon like demogorgon in the Darkest Day. It was in the Artemis Entreri Quest and I was only like lvl 13. I was a swashbuckler switched to a fighter. Anyway I was the only person in the party because i like to play solo. And it literally took me like an hour and a half to kill that thing. Mainly because I couldn't fight the thing upclose because it was suicide. So I would hide in shadows and surprise attack him, over and over and over again and again. I took me a while, but I finally killed that beast. At the end I was almost completely out of healing potions. Overall I thought it was a pretty crazy fight.
So, who else would like to share a crazy fight they've been in?

When I first entered the twisted rune, not even knowing that it was there, I had a party of six, four of whom were killed and one dominated. I ended up with just 7 HPs remaining and running away until the domination spell wore off! Just as well that I had a rod of resurrection!

Thats pretty crazy. The same quest I was in I had to fight a banshee at one time. Damn, I gotta say..... it was pretty hard. I had to attack and then run away, because if I didn't run away she would use wail of the banshee and I would either die, or save vs. spell. So needless to say, she was a pain in the ass. Anyway, after hiding, attacking..rinse and repeat a couple times. It took about a half and hour of fighting to take that piece of garbage out since she healed herself. Eitherway it was fun in the end, because I can look back at that fight and laugh.

I've just had another crazy fight in the twisted rune, but crazy from a different angle. The beholder charmed itself due to Balduran's shield. I instructed it to fight the mage with the staff of the magi and took the rest of my party near to the entrance. Meanwhile one of them used firestorm on the beholder and they all started attcking each other! I only had to pick up the pieces together with the staff etc. It was quite humerous, particularly when I think of the number of reloads that I've had in that place.

Yea, that's a perfect example of how Baldurs Gate is such a strategic game. One different move or retrying a different tactic in your fight can lead to many different results; making certain hard fights where you lose a lot of health or party members easy.
Even so, I will admit Beholders are a pain to fight if you don't prepare yourself for what they throw at you. Especially the cause serious wound spells they throw at you.

Kangaxx .. That is WITHOUT any of the walkthroughs for him that is out there.. I think it took me about 50 or 60 tries, with 7 or 8 different parties and main character before he finally went completely dead.. And that was complete luck only I think

Of course now, after having read a gazillion or two top-10 on how to kill him, he falls pretty easy by anybody

Final guardians, solo with a pureclass fighter. Running around that room like crazy, trying to make contact with them only when my greater whirlwinds or critical strikes were up... what a blast!

Tactics, Bodhi with "Undead Soulafein" and tactics the Yellow Dragon at Watchers Keep, both leaving me with a dead party except main character, who was very low on HP.
Kangaax and Demo-darling are difficult as well. As can Melissan be in Ascension + Tactics, but mostly because you have to do so many things before you can actually do her if I recall correctly. A while since I played that, on my way to confront Irenicus in SoA right now, so will soon have a look at it again.
Oh and that Eclipse Ritual, the one everybody complains about.

I still think the best butt kicking you get is when you exit Irenicus' crib and meet Pebblecrusher's posse. You come out with super-inflated ego and a few magic items thinking you are super tough. Of course this is only because you are new at the game and don't know much. Almost as humbling as running for dear life from that first wolf encounter at the beginning of BG1

Fighting Demogorgon and Pontifex at once outside Watcher's Keep (lured Demogorgon outside, while Pontifex was already there).
I've never found out how to win that one.

My first dozen tries on Kangaxx - me and a friend sat up all night trying to figure it out with our gimped out toons. Those were the days.

The twisted rune was crazy, only because it was so easy. I was playing my level 10 Paladin, and after my first attempt when bad, I actully thought for a second and gave my main character shield of baldur, day star, and amulet of power, trapped the hell out of were lichy pops. It was so easy that I broke out laughing.

Using Anomen to solo the Tombs in Chapter 6 (the Bodhi Confrontation). Almost every vamp went down to Turn Undead, and he had the Mace of Disruption +2, so the few vamps he couldn't turn went down pretty fast. Similarly, at the point in Watcher's Keep where you fight two liches on the fifth floor, he just stood still and turned them both. It was wondrous.

Mine has to be the fight versus the Cowled Wizards chief group (with a mage casting time stop and spell trap).
It lasted forever because, near the end, I pulled off a Wish to get all my spells back as if I had rested. I don't know why this single time she didn't escape through a contingency time stop (what the hell is that hack anyways?), but I could pull it off after like 25 minutes of spell clashing (love these kind o' fights

)
Another nice fight would have to be against the Twisted Rune in a legit fight. What is it? Well, you do not profit from the fact which opponents you are fighting. That includes pre-buffing, get anti-undead items, spell reflecting items, etc.
Just you and your normal, everyday spells, and quite nice a fight!
Attachment shows an example of such a fight. At least, the beginning part of it!
edit: I play a fighter/mage/thief level 40/30/40
