nafhebsl.dll

Could someone help me out by typing that in the Google? Either internet maintenance (some was scheduled but isn't supposed to be due yet) or some kind of virus has prevented me from accessing the Google (and roughly 2/3 of the Internet). AVG picked up and quarantined some trojans, but they appear to come back after a day or so, bringing along new friends and sometimes having a small tea party.

Also, whenever I boot up I get a Rundll32.exe error saying that an error occurred while trying to load nafhebsl.dll. I'm not sure if it's related to the virii or the general wonkiness of my network card or provider. I sure am upset about not being able to quickly figure things out on the Google.

So if anyone could just copypast nafhebsl.dll in the Google search bar and write down your findings (a hyperlink may not work, but you can try), I'd be much obliged.

Are you sure it's spelled that way? I'm asking because I get zero finds with "nafhebsl.dll"...

Absolutely, I just rebooted to check. It can't load the module or something.

(edit :)
The file isn't on the XP CD either. Sounds fishy. Maybe something has tampered with the kernel, that would be bad.

I really should just format XP and install Unbuntu, I don't know what's still keeping me. It sure ain't the dozens of exquisite games that have lately been released for the Microsoft platform.

Zero results using Altavista as well Tricky, which is very strange and worrying. If it is a virus or spyware it must be a brand spanking new one.

Haven't run a spyware check yet. There was something weird going on with a banner yesterday, but I sort of dismissed it.

(edit :) Ok this is kind of duh, but could someone post me a link to Lavasoft's Adaware site? I typed it in the Google search bar in Firefox before I realized that wouldn't work.

Ad-Aware @ Lavasoft - The Original Anti-Spyware Company - Lavasoft

And if simply typing Lavasoft into Firefox's address bar didn't work, then you have serious problems!

That works fine, I just didn't know the URL by heart. I suppose I should have been able to guess it. Some sites I can visit, most sites I can't. It's not browser restricted though, plus I can ping www.google.com just fine. It did start a few days after installing Firefox 3.0. I don't know, it seems odd. Too many bloody factors. All that's missing at this point is an audio log by Shodan.

At any rate, I didn't like the new 'subscribe or get lost' policy of Lavasoft. I eventually found Spybot Search & Destroy through a link on this forum. It picked up three infestations, but those could be coincidental.

Well, it seems everything was just coincidental. The missing nafhebsl.dll seems related to a fairly new USB keyboard I picked up. I think a virus scan might have mistakenly removed one of the files. That can happen sometimes with new software.

As for my weird internet connection, it persists. I now have the assurance of my ISP that they're working on it. Christ, four days already! What is going on there?
