I cannot smash the bookcases to make the beam of light follow the path through. Anybody know why the bookcases will not smash? Or how do I get my character to smash them? I do not see this option when I click on them. Thanks.

You have to right click on them and hold the mouse button down for a second. That should cause a menu to pop up with the bash option.
