tmi, Oopah. But yes, that's it.

I think that riddle's better told in person so you can't scroll back to find out.
I have only one guess for Rav's, but I know it's wrong since it can't be held:
cloud.

@Chimaera182: I love that riddle, but my version usually justs asks the name of the bus driver...
@Ravager: I thought it was breath but it took me a while to realise how it fit into the last 2 lines about the equator, but I get it now.
Hmm, I guess the last hint made it quite clear:
In my garden, I have a pond with on the surface little frog eggs. Each day, the amount of eggs doubles up, so when I have 4 eggs on the first day, I will have 8 eggs on the second day, 16 on the third etc.. On the 30th day, there are excactly enough eggs to lie on the entire surface. On which day were there enough eggs to fill half of the surface?
->
Hehe, on the 29th day
I might be a bit late with the answer, though... <--

Venom's correct on mine.
I am the fountain from which no one can drink.
For many I am considered a necessary link.
Like gold to all I am sought for,
But my continued death brings wealth for all to want more.
What am I?

A very modern riddle...oil

Correct.
Almost everyone sees me without noticing me,
For what is beyond is what he or she seeks.
What am I?

I wonder if you will ever run out of riddles.....
the answer is a window.
I'll post one just to save you some riddles:
[This one is a personal favourite of mine

]
A man is peeling potatoes when he cuts his finger. He immediately puts his hand into water and leaves it there for 30 seconds. However, when he pulls his hand out the cut has entirely disappeared. How can this have happened?

He soaked it in hydrocloric acid...? Or het put his other, undamaged hand into the water (washing the potato or something)... Have no idea, in fact

He puts his other hand (without any cut fingers) in the water? So there isn't a cut when he gets that hand out of the water.
Correct on my riddle.

That's close enough. The real thing is that he was in Africa and put his hand in the water, unaware there were piranhas in the water, so they bit his entire hand off, as such, the cut 'disappeared'.
Good work.
Here's another one:
A man walked into a bar and asked for a certain drink. The bartender apologised about having run out of that particular drink, and offered any other drink availabl for free. The man refused and walked out. Why?

by Ravager
There weren't any other drinks available?
Posted: Thu Sep 22, 2005 4:44 am
by dj_venom
Yes, there were stacks of other drinks available, but howcome he didn't take any free?

He wanted a non-alcoholic beverage? Lol that sounds silly; like a bar would run out of those, but it could happen.
Posted: Thu Sep 22, 2005 8:25 am
by dj_venom
Good guess but no. He wanted an alcoholic beverage, and failing that, he wanted nothing else. In my next post I will start dropping hints.

Either none of the alcoholic drinks he likes were there or the bartender had stacks of non-alcoholic beverages.
Adding a riddle to the mix:
I can be created by humans,
But they cannot control me.
I suck on wood, paper and flesh alike.
I can be more of a hindrance than help at times.
To my creators, I seem to be everywhere at once.
What am I?

Fire?
I have no idea for the bar riddle; a hint would be welcome.

Nope. Keep guessing on my riddle...

Though if you think about it, that answer could be correct. Well, next guess:
Kids?
Hmm, the third line would seem a bit odd with that answer
