But that means compromising my principles... :(
Besides, I've done it plenty of times before. :p
You have to include 'backs away slowly' too.

No no, run in circles until they get dizzy, then knock them over the head and yell "WOOT!" before running home. *nods*

*nods* There you have it. :D

Oh, I updated the Webcomics thread, if you hadn't seen it. :)

@Mag, if you knock them over the head, they get angry and seek revenge. Shouldn't you know that? :p

I will!
Sorry, I was away playing the Monster Invasion game...I was calling it research for my own upcoming game. :p
My all-time highscore was knocked off the list! :(

That's a pity then, did you end up getting it back?

*nods* That's what my friends and I called it, "research". :p We'd spend hours seeing what a game could to, testing it to the limits until the engine crashed and then we'd get to work on seeing if we could improve it. It was a whole bunch of fun.

@DJV, Nope. I did get up to around 37000 though. Some Polish person had taken 75% or so of the 100 all-time high-scores.
The game breaks down around 50,000 so you can barely play it. The lowest score on the all-time list was around 54,000... :p
The normal scoring list refreshes every day. I think I have the 9th position on that one.

@Mag, nice. :D
I have to think of ways to duplicate the mechanisms in there for my own game....
See, I really can call it research! ;)

Yes, yes you can. It will provide inspiration as well as you can consider it "Gaming History". ;) Must be off, have a good day!

Whoops, forgot about this browser, it's been lagging a bit though, anyone else get that?

And what do you mean by breaks down?

Posted: Tue Feb 21, 2006 5:26 am
by Ravager
Not really...
Which browser is it?

Normally, when you kill a Viking in the game it vanishes after 'dying'. Well, at 50,000, you get loads of little dying Vikings appearing over the screen, that then freeze in a stage of death. Those little things cover the new Vikings appearing on-screen making them very hard to see and tremendously slowing the game down.
