I seriously cannot understad that! My monk had no problems with them at all! Except minor ones with the queen of course.

Crazy.......

Now the Apocolyptic boneguard, that was a nasty bastard. It took me forever to kill him.

...math is against you...-...ähm...-...against your monk - i mean ;)

...but these are the stats for a rang 9 Battlesquare remorhaz shadow !

...don't now if the ice-tempel remorhaz are weaker or have a lower level !

...maybe someone else can check them also (don't have a save anymore)

@asriel - if you have a look at your info box - you can see the rolls and the AB of your enemies - would be interesting...

general your monk should have problems with 2 types of enemies:

1. high AB *and* high damage -> remorhaz, giants, golems and all HOF-monsters :D

2. high damage resitance -> don't know exactly which enemy has which type of resitance and how much - but there are a few:

...mainly bosses, high level undead, some higher elementals, and higher outer planars AFAIK.

Well, last night I got to the point where I'm ready to fight Torak at his camp. I've had to rest a couple of times now and use both Mirror Image and Blur. The problem that I am running into is that my Monk is hitting often enough. I noticed on the first map past Targos that the Orc Sharmens would summon a creature and once or twice, it disappeared before I got around to fighting it (mainly b/c I was focused on killing the orcs that gave xp). I'm at work now, but I'll try to post all of my stats by tomorrow.

Hide or I could use Invisibility. I have a Hide skill of 6 (5 from 20 dex & added 1 point). Although, do you get xp from killing the creatures generated by them? I can't remember, but will find out this weekend. If so, then I'll get to them when I get to them. I could always use a little extra xp. Although, I finally ran into trouble w/ xp last night. After slaying Torak and his buddies, I gained enough xp to advance to the next level. However, once I did, my xp gained from orcs dropped, so I reloaded the last save prior to advancing and will probably squat until I head off to the fortress. Bad thing is that I was looking forward to Wholeness of Body, especially with the last two sections of the Bridge where the fighting gets really tough. Although w/ me evading all spells cast so far, it may not be as bad. I'll update you all after the weekend.

Yes, you do! But the summoned horde can be overwhelming...

Not from the drums. They only create one monster at a time. I don't know how often they are generated but when playing w/ a 3 person party, the most I ever had to fight with before destorying the drum was 2.

I had usually 4 - 5 monsters from each drum at a time

...from the point you get in sight of a drum you will get 2x2 worg riders (attacking from different directions) every 30(?) seconds until you have destroyed the drum !

...and you have to kill both the worg and the rider!

That must be in HOF mode Silverdragon. I was getting two Wrog Riders, but not every 30 seconds. Maybe like every 3 minutes or longer.

...not sure of the time frame could also be 60 seconds or so - but it's definetly not HOF!

I'm also quite sure that you get 2x2 worg riders attacking from 2 directions - but maybe I get spotted by 2 drums and get more this way!

btw. no news from the monk - I read about another soloing attemp with a monk on another board and that one seems by far not that easy !

Well, I haven't been playing much lately for various reasons. But the last time I played I had serious problems with an Apocalyptic Boneguard whom I was almost unable to damage, (only critical hits) so I am now thinking about going from solo, to semi solo by adding a sorceress I have from another save (I will remove all her equipment that isn't availeble at this point in the game) she is roughly the same lvl, and with most of the disabeling spells as well.

What do you guy's think? Am I chickening out, or am I facing the truth?

For roleplaying reason I can say that my monk freed her from the Ice temple prison.

Yes you can... and if you still need more Chars there is other parts in this game where you could find new character like Dragons eye.. duergar outpost.. Kuldahar.. Monastery(monk or rogue).. Fields of Slaughter..
