Wait....you can leave him be? What are you off doing now? I thought you had to kill him, and then move on...

You can
a...kill the guardian
or
b. kill everyone inside the temple.
Either way will work and let you advance the plot. and you can come back to the area later to kill him

The temple has been slightly problematic aswell, so decision time. Weeee! I just cant breach the south section of the temple. So maybe I dont have a choice...lowsy paladin, not able to wear the initiation jacket. Kid told me to kill off my paladin, but I really didnt want to.
Ill keep trying the guardian, but if it doesnt work, I may have to resort to Kid's plan.

See why I hate Paladins?

It wasn't much of a choice for me, by the time I got back outside the temple, I had killed everyone off anyway

It's no secret. I hate playing with a Paladin in my group. I hate lawful Good, I hate charity, and I hate not getting paid in these games

I know what you mean. If you notice in the poll thread in the BGII section, youll notice in my post I said I hated lawful good for the same reason, plus many of the lawful good people are sissies.

But how can I say no to another good fighter with lay on hands?

It's easy, you say no, and then say yes to barbarian Rage

But Ive got them both!

Its that much better!
It was either a paladin, a druid (whos going to be in my next party) or a ranger (who I found out was a wash out in IWD2)

I don't have full rangers...they are under done in the game.
I got a druid and rogue, each with a level of ranger though. I just can't handle paladins though. It's too much of a stretch for me to play as one

Thats what Ive been told. Kind of disappointing after they were so well done in BGII.
Lawful good+BS=???? It must be like one of those chemical explosions when acids are mixed with bases badly.
