"Yes, we will work together. I, again, am sorry for saying this right out to you. But, you, Magrus, would have asked about it anyway with the glare you gave me."
"Again, I am sorry. It is this way."
He leads you to a huge set of double doors.
This looks to be the entrance of the place. It is guarded by what looks to be a creature
with what looks to be a dozen spindly claws that hang froms it's bulbus floating body.

I'm going to try and flank it and attack with my mind blade.
Attack if flanked and still under bless spell:
1d20+7
10+7 = 17
Damage:
1d6+1
3+1 = 4

D

Both hit. Dosker charges and attacks, hitting.
It attacks both of you and hits Oskata once, hits magrus once, and then falls to the ground. You each take 4 points of damage.
It is your turns. (Bless has passed and don't forget the plus 4 for it being prone)

Do I get +2 for flanking and +4 for it being prone? Or just the +4? I calculated both in FYI.

In parenthesis is the without flanking bonus ones.
Attack again:
1d20+10
19+10 = 29(27)
Roll for Crit.
1d20+10
16+10 = 26(24)
Damage:
1d6+1
2+1 = 3

(bad luck with the number of fumbles you have)
(dont forget to employ the paralyzing gaze first next time

)
If its still alive
A:
12 + 4 + 7 + 2 = 25
D:
8 + 4 = 12

Am I missing something I should know about?

I know. The Dc was 13 and you guys could EASILY make that. BTW Oskatat and Magrus, you killed it dead.
Dosker leads you into the double doors and then goes to a three way intersection. He tells you that the north way leads to Malek and the left leads to the warrior with the key to maleks room. It is a HEAVILY guarded door so there is no lockpicking he says.

Ok. Let me know if I'm constantly missing rules or something.
"Oskatat, can you cast a cure light wounds on me before we head out again?"
Posted: Sun Jun 19, 2005 8:12 pm
by Oskatat
"Before we get the key, Does anyone need some healing? You both were hurt worse than me so take it now before its too late. And next time when we surprise some creature, perhaps with my armor I should lead the charge."
*sacrifice 1 command for a cure light wounds
curing 8 (max right) + 4 damage = 12 cured (or 11, rolled 7)

Dosker chugs a potion and says that Magrus could use some.
