The Desert segment
Now I'm in the tomb of Ali Rashad
( Isn't that a Basketball player ?) and there is some kind of Aerobics cube on the floor. Where you stand if goes away,, when you walk away, it comes back. I'm thinking there is some pattern here to get the Casket open. I tried carry the Stone of Rune over there, but they (game designers) will not allow them
to sit there.
What's the deal here ????.

carry a rune stone and stand in the middle of one of the squares. Go into your inventory and drop the rune stone. Repeat til you have made an X pattern with one stone missing. Stand where that stone should go.

Rune Stone-d
Mr.Sir
What I was doing wrong was trying to put it on the stone with out standing on it and not doing it through my cammands ( drop it ). Got it done, found and talked to the main Bad guy Kal-i ?? then he tried to kill me and everyone. Did him in after I put the Scepter on the Altar.
Caravan got it's water and we are on our next quest. Found the Old mage Archeologist and I feel I have to do something for him, even though he was almost killed by some bad Witch, I figure I have to kill her off also. Anything to look out for ???

Have you healed the archeologist (or let him drink a healing potion)? He will then tell you what to do next. Also, check out the hobgoblin merchant - he has a little quest to do involving wine that has various ways of completing. Also, talk to the spiritual leader guy and his worshippers in the camp - its pretty funny (at least I think so lol).
In the ruins there are loads of little things to do, plus a few secret doors, and some sort of tough bad guys depending on your character and level (they can be quite easy with the right character but I found the ruins tough going on my first run through). You have the opportunity to make several nice items in the ruins too

Mr.Sir
Yes,, I already gave him a healer. He has told me what to do. I will check with the Hobgoblin Merchant and the Holy man
My character is a 16 level Ranger. It shouldn't be a problem with the tough guys ( mugs ).
I'm in the Runes. I'm at a Machine that has another puzzel. It asks for Fairey dust, I think Dragons Blood, and is it the Tongue's of the Sallid ?.
It must be in some order to put them in the two Uri's.
I guess I will do this quest again as a low level something or other next time.

Mr.Sir
Hello ???.
I need your help here again. I just need to know the code or sequence of the puzzel.

That machine can be used to make a runestone combining a defensive spell and an offensive spell. The type of each spell is dependent on what you put in the urns. Its pretty hard to explain without actually playing the game, but by doing a search on the nwn website forums I found this:
Quote:
Left Urn
6 Slaad tongues = Energy buffer
1 Dragon’s blood = Greater Stoneskin
1 Fairy Dust =Improved Invisibility
1 Ruby = Spell Mantle
3 Rubies = Greater Spell Mantle
Right Urn
10 Slaad’s tongues = Kill, Save vs Death DC14
1 Dragon’s blood = Gust of Wind
1 Ruby = Flame Arrow
3 Rubies = Multiple Flame Arrows
end quote.
Choose which effect you want from each urn and place the required ingredients in them.

What now ?
Now that Drogan is doing some spells in that Large Room,, what is supposed to happen ?. I have done everything I can in the whole area. What am I supposed to do ???>

In front of the wall opposite the entrance to the room Drogan is in (with the pillars) there should be like a crystal ball thing. Click on that and use it like an object and it will show you a room. On either side of the pillar room where Drogan is there are some side rooms. You have to activate the pillar in each of these side rooms in the correct order. The best way is to drop a different item or number of items in front of each pillar in each room so you have a way of identifying them (you can pick the items up again later). Then use the crystal ball and go activate the pillar in the room shown. Then go use the crystal ball again and repeat. Keep going til only one pillar is left to be activated. Remember which room it is in then go pick up all your items. Then go to that last room and activate the pillar and it should go to the next cutscene.

Mr. Sir
That little tip about leaving an article really helped. Well I got that done but only got 1/2 of my Items back because I went to the last room. As soon as you walk out into the main room your called over by Drogan.
When into the next level ,,killed everything that attacked us. Then ran into "girl in the hood". Would have been nice to warn me I ( and my side kick ) were going to be turned to stone. I do not thing there is a way to avoid this. Now I'm the slave of some Lizard man and he has me killing Golems. finished that one and now I'm free ( sort of ).
Can I get my side kick back to normal to join me again ?.

Near where you were a stone statue at the start of the level after the cutscenes had finished, you should find your henchman nearby (also as a statue). If you can buy/find an item or scroll of stone to flesh you can turn him/her back and use him/her again (tip: if you did all of the previous level and killed everything, you should have come across a bottle containing 7 or 8 doses of a stone to flesh balm which does the trick - just use it on your henchman).

Mr. Sir
Ok, I'll look and see if I have that,, but it sounds like I didn't find it or get it. I'll have to check.
Is it pretty inevitable that you get turned to stone ?.
Thanks for the tip again.

It is part of the plot that you do and your hench(wo)man get turned to stone, yep. Though your character gets turned back to flesh as part of the plot too.

As Ravager says, you have no choice. You get turned to stone no matter what, as does your henchman and although you are brought back to flesh, your henchman is not so you have to do it instead - they will be standing somewhere near the start of the level.

Guys
Well,, I looked and I do not have "Stone to Flesh" anything. No spells or potions.
I'm in one of the "Three winds" rooms with Zombies that keep regenerating them selves by someone or some thing. Lots and lots of traps in the room. How can I get through this one. I ran around the room looking for something to turn it off, but nothing. All I keep doing is getting more Zombies ater me.

You have to attack the 'Wind of the Dead' which is summoning the zombies. There is one zombie who is stronger and bigger than the rest. The wind can only be damaged when the zombies all fall down dead, just before they are resurrected again. One zombie is more powerful than the rest, so if you have to fight them, be careful of that one and try to take it out quickly.

Try the Asabi you meet at the beginning of the chapter, he usually has a Stone to Flesh scroll for sale, from what I remember...

OK, got it done thanks to you guys.
I did buy the "stone to flesh" scroll from Asabie (?).
I did have the potion but I gave it to my side kick Orc and it was sealed in his stone body.
Went in the Room with the Dude's starting fires and preaching to me. Picked up as much stuff as I could and kept running back and forth to Asabi to cash them in. Some of the Armor and weapons was junk. One or two of the Items were good.
Now I have gone into a room that has me blocked off after you kill one of them. Sort of a checker board system. I'll see where this takes me and if I get in trouble or can't figure it out I'll be back.
