This is sad. How obsessed are you all with your characteristics? TWO HOURS just on rolling - GET A LIFE. Like you have nothing better to do with two hours?!

If someone could say they finished the game with every characteristic below 13, then I'd be impressed. ANYONE can press re-roll or import into BGI.

My friend did you pay for my game? What I do with My game is my business. Do I tell you have to play your game? And Why would I won't to impress you?

He he... I am still waiting for that answer, since my shrink friend thinks that the meaning of life lies between the ... oops, I shouldn't do that, I promised to myself not to use any filthy, foul, porn language on here anymore.
I think I have to visit my shrink (he is a psychologist and he hates comp games... I keep telling him he doesn't know what he is missing)

18 strength
18 dex
18 constitution
6 int (!)
18 charisma (due to ring of human influence).
Otherwise 3 (!)

a thick liquid darkness descends upon the land as the Dwimmerlaik approaches the inert body of his victim GRUNTBOY, raises his mace on high and with a critical miss, smashes it into his own knee, winces in pain (because though he is very weak, and therefore doesn't have much strength to weild with much force, he also has a poor constitution, and AC of 10 and low hit points so it doesn't take much), stumbles due to his incredibly pathetic dexterity, falls to the ground causing his mace to fall and strike him again, releasing its special disruptive power, fails his saving throw (again...) and crumbles to dust which is blown away on the wind...

Knew I should have kept rolling those stats....

Easy people,
Just my opinion.
RPG whether P&P or CRPG is about playing around with characters that have better characteristics than you do (well...me any way), if I had to classify my stats it would be

str- 5
int- 2 (hey, pick up a rock you could get a better answer from it than me )
wis- uh... can you have negative numbers?
con- 6, hey I'm in bed all the time give me a break.
dex- 1 (usually tie my shoe laces in knots, and thats on a GOOD day )
cha- 4 can't buy friends and even a pet goldfish ran away

How far do you think I would get in BG or BGII?
yes I like higher scores if I can get them. Take another look at my real life stats-if you had those you would roll for MONTHS to get better. hey, enjoy the game

Hmm, from such acorns do mighty oaks grow.

It's good to see reactions kept in perspective. I am certainly not a master of the game, and I like many others have pressed re-roll for the little advantage that it offers. But to spend a number of hours doing so just isn't good returns for me with conflicting priorities, with a job to do, a fiancee to spend time with, friends to talk to. In the end, I'd also doubt that those increased stats offer that much benefit in the long run.

I just see it as a cost-benefit thing, and the cost of two hours for little benefit just doesn't do it for me.

Hmm, because I am stupid I cannot tell other people they are stupid? Well, I don't recall doing so and, in any case, I most certainly am not stupid. I may have few friends on this message board, but those two things do not equate.

As for being an Anti-Bob, I am overjoyed at this accolade. If you wish I shall also be an Anti-Billy and an Anti-Ben. In fact, let's not be discriminatory, I could also be an Anti-Betty.

I await the day when a criticism will be returned with an insult which is at least comprehendable.

All this makes me remember a certain "Kyrian Darkstar" or whatever his name was....started off in the same way...first post on this board slagging off people that used "Shadow Keeper"(or whatever it's called) to edit THEIR stats in THEIR game....
I must admit that I would never spend 2 hours on rerolling stats...but I don't care the least if somebody does....after all it's THEIR game...but this is just my opinion...and we all know what opinions are like...right???...Ubik??
Anyway everyone should just cool down a bit.....
