Why don't I like Nalia?

Three words: "For the needy!"

I think a Mazzy romance would be cool.

@Aubry....nothing is wrong with her attitude, i like it...she is a classy lady and is now accepting (if thats the right word) her power and is showing it.

and her portrait is good, although she does look like she's had to many late nights

Nalia is ok, she kind of reminds me like an insecure and semi-spoiled 'upper-class' girl I know myself. As Invincible121 said about her portrait, she does look like she's had waayy too many late nights As a character she's fine. From a gaming perspective Imoen is a much better dual class IMO.

On the contrary, one of the best things about a Mazzy romance would be her height. Have you read the Very Secret Diaries yet?

Nalia looks unrested but only in the small pic. In truth, the larger
portrait is not so bad...
What I hate the most is her avatar...
that awful foulard she wears!!!!!!!!!!
And no way to remove it!!!

I didn't mind her the first time, I had her, Aerie, Edwin, Imoen, Mincs and my main character Marl. Thats 4 mages and two juggernauts. Nothing could stop me. Mincs and Marl having problems? 4 magic missles should cure that. But I don't like her personality, and for that I ditched her the second time around.

I´d pick Imoen over Nalia anytime. "Oh, my huuuge castle is under attack, help me and you´ll get to lick my feet, and maybe auntie´s too, lalalala!"
I found Aerie quite annoying too, after listening to the I´ve-lost-my-wings-and-really-need-some-comfort-but-I´ve-got-a-headache-right-now and so on... Although Aerie, apart from Nalia, is quite a decent NPC.

Nalia's okay, third time around I used Shadowkeeper to beef up her thief skills and dumped Yoshimo. It worked out pretty well.

Has anyone used the Nalia romance??

Nalia is a clone of Imoen - call it Irenicus's Experiment gone awry - and the result is a whinin', immature girl with less beef.

I think she would be a lot more interestin' if you were able to have a romance with her (guys agree with me here?) - because Nalia looks like a wild, party girl.
It makes me laugh when she first tells you that she "is quite good at pickin' a lock or two". Ha! She's a 4th level thief! Grow up Nalia!

Come on, Lost One. She is just an innocent girl thinking that the biggest crime in life is to "build cities on the back of the unfortunate".

And for the thread... one good thing to say about Nalia... She comes with a good ring (and, hey!, a stronghold for you if you are fighter-type!)

Thx for that Serje - generally I'm not aware of the mods that exist nowadays - the only ones I've downloaded are the two extra merchants.

Is good? Hard question... personal taste I guess... (Anyway, is Viconia's romance good? And Aerie's? Who knows?)

On the other hand, comments on Nalia's romance definitely belong to this thread. Anyone completing that romance (which I haven't) could please answer Lost One's questions?

IMHO, Nalia's romance was just needed to make sense of the stronghold quest.
(It seemed weird to me getting her stronghold without having to marry her, not?)

Imoen comes with nothing at all... !

Only one problem with the Imoen romance, she is suppose to be your sister. It would be a good idea if they changed the scripting around, so that she was not your sister. That would make things a little more interesting.

i've played the game, more times than i can count (i've now used every class expect monk, i just can't get over the idea of not using weapons heeh) anyway i've used Nalia over imoen everytime. She's a great addition to the party, and the only time i wouldn't take her is if i was evil, in which case i would opt for Edwin.

Only one problem with the Imoen romance, she is suppose to be your sister.

BUT, as it has been said before, half of the city of Saradush (ToB) are your brothers and sisters. No big deal!

Call it being closed-minded, but intimate relationships with family members is just too weird.

She looks like Drew Barrymoore hung over and high on smack after a long nights gangbang hangin in teh hook with her uber l33t dreddlocks..

Puhleeze. If her looks and voice alone aren't enough to make you hate her, you've got problems.

Imoen is a whiner too. I say dump them both and use Aerie. While she may be a bit insecure and whiney, atleast she's pretty, and if you have Jaheira in your party she shuts up real quick when Jaheira tells her to get a clue. Plus, Jaheiras romance is the more entertaining of the two, and since you can't romance Imoen or Nalia.. (without mods), why even bother putting them in your party?

My current party consist of:

Allorn (me) - NG Ranger
Keldorn
Anomen (knighted, he's alot cooler/better in general)
Jaheira
Yoshimo (I'll be forced to deal with Imoen once Yoshi leaves)
Aerie


I'm not sure if anybody can confirm this or not, but is it possible that Jaheiras romance goes faster if you're a ranger and/or possibly a neutral type character? Cuz.. she seems to be coming on pretty strong and I'm a neutral good ranger but I hear talk of her romance being very difficult..

I don't want a romance with Yaga-Shura or Gromnir either, thanks all the same.

I don't blame you. They are not in the least as much pretty as Imoen is.
