Stated before, thieves and mages have no more in common than Barbarians and bards.
People look at them in disgust? well, if THATS your reason, im bound to agree.
At least we fight with our gods, you will see you have entered a fight you cannot win!
WE are united through our believes in our gods, and the gods have granted us power for it, while thieves fight without honour, and die like worms.
Mages can be a tougher opponent, but with the gods on our side they cannot win.

IIRC, Elminster is a 29th level cleric, and a 29th level mage. Yes, which class is highest?
I know Drizzt is a fighter/barbarian/ranger. Does that make him less of a ranger? The deal with Elminster is that he both a cleric and a ranger, thus not only mentionable for your guild.
This cracks me up.

All was going well with the Brotherhood of the Woods, then those imposters the Council of Mages and the Shadow Guild arrived...
You've got some great representatives in BG2: Nalia the Slut, Imoen the Weird, Jan the Midget, Yohimo the Bastard, Edwin the Senile...
We've got the 3 hottest chicks! Also, Mazzy the Best Archer, Minsc the Coolest Warrior, and Keldorn the best NPC.
