Back in Highschool I took Art for zero hour for extra credits, thinking it would be the easy way to get ahead.

We were making busts (statues of people from the shoulders up) and I decided to make one of my youngest sister. After a few months, the bust was made and and it looked *very* nice. All that had to be done was put it in the kiln for the final stage.

I looked over the bust to see if there was anything left that had to be done, and it just so happened that I had corn kernels as one of my supplies that came from another project kit I had bought. I added the kernels to the bust, thinking it would make really cute detail to the top of the blouse that was just barely visable on the bust.

That was one of my worst blonde moments. After a short while in the kiln the kernels began to explode. I was out of the school and didn't hear it, and by the time I got back the next morning, my bust was completely destroyed.

That isn't a whole lot considering some other stupid things I've done...
:o

The morale of the story: Popcorn explodes when it gets hot. :(

When I was younger, I liked playing with beach balls in the house. Well one day I was throwing a beach ball up and down the stairs in my house. (Dont ask me why-because I dont know) and at one point I thought: "wouldnt it be fun to kick the ball up the stairs." So I threw the ball up in the air and got ready to punt the ball. Unfortunetly, I threw the ball badly, initially-I threw it too far forward towards the stairs. So my brilliant thought was to move forward with the ball. What I didnt realize was the stair was in my way. So I completely missed the ball and instead made full hard contact with the wooden bottom stair of the stair case. I fractured a bone in my foot. I didnt realize this at the time-so being a man-I said-Im ok. I will walk-it-off. I walked around for 2 days with a limp trying to walk off the injury until I finally decided to go to the doctor, where they announced I fractured a bone in my foot. I had on a cast for a little while.

Ah yes, one of those brilliant eureka moments in my life....

LOL! A friend and I made a voodoo doll of our art teacher once. It blew up in the kiln, and you know what? We never saw that guy again!
Until, that is, he was shown on TV as the co-organizer of the annual Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras... :D
All I can say is, I wasn't surprised.
