That wasn't an afterthought - that was a pre-emptive strike! :p

DP: Only 20 cases? Aren't you bringing any for me and T'?

CE: Better a compliment than an insult, no matter the source or intent. IMO ;)

Hm, I'm not sure I agree  A compliment might be even less well intended than an insult. Compliments can be very manipulative, and that is one of the most ugly things I know in moral terms...

If you ask, how do I look in these pants? Do you want the truth or no dear you look lovely?

Either way it's a loaded question.

To me, it's not a loaded question at all. If I ask "How do I look in these pants", I ask because I want to know how I look in the pants, nothing else. What if I look horrible and the husband/friend/whoever doesn't tell me? Not very funny to walk around and believe you look stunning if you look ghastly. :

Am I making sense? ;)

You're making perfect sense CE :)
@ Dp :D

oops G'night Sleepy :D

Yes, it does CE. You and T, are the first women, I know of that don't use loaded questions. So, if I answer truthfully, I won't get "Well, thanks alot." .

Well I never saw the sense in asking if you don't want to hear the answer. :)
It's like being asked why you're angry and saying "You know why I'm mad" A lot of times the other person doesn't know. It's easier just to say why in the first place.

Or you get "Because" That's my favorite, not.

So, my impression of you T', as a no-BS lady, was correct :)

DP, I actually think this is a bit depressing to hear this is unusual. Personally, I'm all against the mind-reading kind of demands on other people, partner or friends. There's always a risk of creating a certain falsehood and distance when people prefer hearing what is pleasant to what is true.

CE :) I prefer to tell the truth, I try to be tactful, but I don't like to lie :) It's more healthy for any relationship IMO to be honest :)

As long as you remeber there's a difference between those pants aren't very flattering and those pants make your butt look like a water buffalo's :D :D
