Funny thing is, the original Italian comic book that Barbarella derives from *was* pretty funny--in a rather sexually explicit and over-the-top soap opera-ish fashion. When Fonda's then-husband directed Barbarella, he eliminated most of the humor and sex (though you really couldn't eliminate Fonda).Originally posted by Silur:
