Yeah, I can understand why you don't want people just to answer straightaway. Spoils it for others. That's part of the reason I asked people to post answers in black, so they're still solvable without accidentally finding an answer

.
I wasn't going to give people a clue as the game, but I may as well say it (you'd still have to find it in-game). This is one of the few riddles that wasn't in BG

, it was in Neverwinter Nights instead.
Wrong answer on my riddle.

Second guess:As much as can grow (and regrow) on an orange tree

Nope. Keep going.

Hehe, but my last answer would make more or less an interesting answer on itself, don't you think?
Okay, let's look at it in a less complicated way: you just have one orange, as 3 - 2 = 1

That's still not it

Blast, dj venom would have the right answer at the first guess...
Two?

Yes. Third time lucky. After that thing about the orange tree, I thought you were just going to go off on some weird tangent. Keep the riddle going for an hour or something
A new one:
Which word in the English language becomes shorter when it is lengthened?

by TheAmazingOopah
Well, fourth time actually...
I think your riddle already got posted before, though I'm not sure. Is the one with the answer:
Few? (---> fewer)

I think there may have been a similar riddle, but that's not the right answer.

In that case: Short?

*nods* That's right. Well done

Perhaps I have another riddle, but it's in German. Well, let's see if you guys can understand it (and answer it...):
Was ist tiefer: teller oder tasse?
(fingers crossed that Xandax won't ban me for ignoring the forum rules regarding the English language...

)

A box without hinges, key, or a lid, yet golden treasure inside is hid.
Solution:
egg?
EDIT: And for the foreign language: I don't think you'll get banned, unless you are a repeated offender or use foreign language to camouflage profanity. Nah, just a light friendly flogging with scented bootlaces would be OK for you.

Phew, so the punishment itself will be not so cruel. Still, it's a punishment based on bodily harm, so the question remains: who will serve it to me? I can trust no one!
*backs away to the wall, while looking around with paranoid, swift gazes*
Anyway, correct answer to the Neverwinter Night/The Hobbit riddle

I know that you guys have not finished your last riddle yet...well, maybe. But Ill put up another anyways.
A man is lying on his bed, terribly wounded after a spar fell on him. The doctor tries to help the now delusional man up, and ask him where there is pain. to which he replies, "Chop a quarter off a boat, and you will find what is broken."
Where is he injured?

Then it wouldn't have been a guess.
As for hill, maybe the answer is....
stern, sternum?

Well, it still could be a guess, which is just inmediately the right one. Or are you saying that you never guess and just always *know* the answer?
Did we give up on my crappy riddle? lol
I did a little bit, though it seems like a good riddle to me. However, if you say it's crappy, the answer probably will be something lousy...
But let's give it a try:
'y'?
