Indeed. I am still surprised about what Elminster does to Edwin.

I mean, Edwin is
two levels higher at the cap!? The guy is awesomly powerful and freakishly paranoid, but still Elminster gets to do him in? Irreversibly!?

Elminster is the chosen of Mystra. That is how he gets away with it. Yah, I know, that is not a very satisfying answer to me either. You just have to accept that Elminster is the walking Avatar of Mystra and deal with it

The BIS boards mention that Bioware is working on all-comprehensive ToB patch, and has abandoned its "piecemeal" approach to patching a few problems at a time.

What do you mean, play through it fast? Most of us have had the game for months, and quite a few (like myself) love to linger over and examine all the details of the environment. I check out every conversation I can have, speak to everyone in an area, and investigate everything I can find.

As an expansion for an existing game,ToB is arguably the best ever (I remember those old Red Alert expansions- 20 quid for a dozen half arsed solo missions and multiplayer maps? Cheers Westwood ya rip off sellout to EA cheapskates GRRR). However the fact that its just an expansion is the main problem for me. ToB has so many ideas in it that I reckon it was the framework for BG3- a game that the developers always said they were going to make but now can't be bothered. Bio probably wanted to wrap things up with the Child of Bhaal thing as quickly as possible and get stuck into NWN. Therefore we get left with a conclusion to one of the best series of games ever that feels rushed and smacks of 'will this do?'
