- Day Thirty-five :
With the Helldesk being a pain, I had to resort to using a telegram. This was not a very promising start of a new week
.
Like Mah pointed out, it was another Garfield Monday…
Beldin had a strangely similar experience. But at least, his weekend turned out good.
I signed out after a terrible day at the office. In spite of the fact that I had had some Duff, it wasn't enough: I was not happy. If tomorrow was the same, it could seriously jeopardize the value of following Duff's advice…
- Day Thirty-six :
The start of a new day and it would seem my luck had changed. I was about to be joined at the Helldesk by a subject I could shape to take some of the load off me
.
Later that day, Beldin announced his diet. I wished him best of luck, of course. For the record, Beldin also pointed out he had started the day before
.
Beldin also gave me the advice to take it easy on the new guy and get into some extended training later, which I took to heart.
Fas was prejudiced toward the concept and called it corruption while, in fact, the term re-education was more accurate
.
Unfortunately, he didn't have time to discuss this in more detail due to his classes.
All in all, not a bad day for me even if the training took up quite a bit of my time.
- Day Thirty-seven:
Apart from wishing T' a happy holiday, I didn't do much that day. Didn't even drink that much that day
.
- Day Thirty-eight:
With day thirty-seven of the experiment starting with a busy morning, I only made my first appearance that day at 7:50 AM.
I was surprised to learn that Fas was taking an extended leave of absence, but I knew it wasn't the last we'd see of him.
My trainee turned out to be quite good material.
Of course, I'd have to get rid of the supervisor first if I wanted to make a SYMbiont out of him…
Ned made an appearance and there was much rejoicing, even if that lead to a whole discussion about custom parties and party npc's.
BM also made a contribution to that discussion.
Since he was still sick, Doc Beldin had just the prescription, which BM refused on the grounds that he feeds on pain (and was a kid).
Of course, that's asking for it, so I helped him out.
- Day Thirty-nine:
Started the day mixing frogus a F.A.T.B.A.S.T.A.R.D.
Beldin was kind enough to point me to a smiley Ty had posted:
, which was very appropriate.
When Beldin announced it was one of those days for him again, I intervened.
As can be expected at a Helldesk, the blame game was being played again
.
At least, there's always the weekend to get stress relief.
- Day Forty:
One day of weekend - lots to drink, little to report. 'nuff said.
That is how the sixth and final week went. We asked the jury to cast their votes, and these are the points they awarded me:
Love +
Health +
Wealth = Happiness
90 +
90 +
95 =
275. Adding the totals for the other weeks and dividing by six gives us the final score: (150+125+240+280+265+275)/6 =
222.5. In attachment you can see, where the graph leads us…
Go on, go on, get in there…
yes!

A close call, with only 0.6 happiness points, but I'm in there! I made it to the "triangle of delight"!
So at the end of
Duffman's Important Alcoholic Experiment, after forty days and forty nights of rigurously following
Duff's advice, can we conclude that it is wise to follow the advice of
Duff? The answer, my friends, is
yes! After years and years of doubt, it is now a scientific fact that drinking
Duff will make you a happy person. So, remember to drink your
Duff and help make this world a better place to live in.

ROFL

- definitely worth researching; wonder if we'd find a control experiment next time though (who's going to keep away from
herbs for an undetermined period of time

).

@Chanak: the
Duff Brewing Company Inc. would like to acknowledge its staunch supporters, without whom "Duffman's Important Alcoholic Experiment (D.I.A.E.)" would never have been possible

. Cheers, mate! ** toasts with can of
Duff **

Awww...boredom strikes in a quiet forum...
*tosses Voo a beer*
Here...hopefully the alcoholic effects will make this place appear to be less stagnant, tonight.
That, and if I stick around, my presence is certainly a bit better then an empty SYM, no?

Thanks Tyb.

I think if ANYONE ever hugs Fas and Thug in the same day...nay....same hour....nay...same 5 min, then they are lost.
So it seems like I didnt miss much in SYM while I spent my day in Boston.

It isnt even the weekend yet....well, technically speaking, it is NOW...but earlier today it wasnt...so I wonder how desolate it will be here tomorrow...
Aegis seems to be in the lurker mood.

I think I catch him about every other day, lurking...
